synopsis

Sally Barnes is the last person in Ireland to smoke exclusively wild fish. Overwhelmed by the consequences of climate change and intensive fishing her inestimable know-how is in danger of disappearing forever.

Concept

Written and produced by BE.POLAR Studio, “The Keep” is a short-documentary that was born out of a desire to tell, through the portrait of a great artisan, the play of mirrors between tradition, culture, food and the future.
A visual and emotional journey, to process with greater awareness issues that affect our responsibility and choices .
