A pictorial search through the invisible transparencies and networks that connect us with the world of things and feelings.
Diaphanous is an uneven weave, a process in the making that interposes itself between the observer and the observed object, that conceals and at the same time lets through. The gaze makes its way through matter: air, water, glass. The glass of small enchanted worlds in which to lose oneself and remember.
Marbles with infinite plays of light and color, planets in a boundless universe. Instruments of play and dream. Small colored spheres with a strong seductive power that runs through human history since the earliest antiquity.

Biography
Gabriella Giardi, born in 1962. She combines professional activity and university studies in philosophy and analysis of natural languages with her passion for art and painting.
She began her artistic activity in 2001 by attending the Atelier Ricerche Visive of Carlo Giaccone and Marco Longo in Turin, of which she is still a student. She deepens her knowledge of materials with the fresco workshop curated by Marco Longo in 2003 and the annual trompe l’oeil workshop in 2004 with architect Roberto Todeschini.
She has participated in collective exhibitions over the years and presented some of her works in the 2019 solo exhibition Sinantesi.
Her search for pictorial solutions and personal sensitivity to transparencies led her to cultivate oil painting, which became the predominant technique of artistic expression.
